Working Arrangement: Hybrid working with some in person to attend meetings.
A Basic DBS is required for this role.
The role:
On behalf of a local council, we are seeking a Business Support Officer / Administrator.
The role requires in person attendance at child protection conferences (approximately 3/4 per week) at various Bristol Council offices (so travel is required via car, bus, bike, escooter etc). Other work duties can be completed in the office (City Hall) or at home.
The BSO is required to take minutes / notes in person at child protection conferences (usually two hours long) around the city. The role also includes the typing up of notes, inputting data into LCS database and sending follow up reports/letters to families and professionals.
Please note due to the sensitivity of the work area confidentiality is essential and some conferences may contain distressing content.
Key Responsibilities:
To attend conferences in person at various Bristol City Council offices around the city (so travel is required via car, bike, bus, e-scooter etc).
The role will involve taking minutes at these multi-agency conferences, typing up notes into the required format,
Updating a database and distributing letters/ reports to professionals and family members.
What the client is looking for:
Previous Minute taking skills essential
Previous admin experience, ideally in a local authority social services / child protection team
A excellent understanding of safeguarding policies
Good working knowledge and experience of of Microsoft 365 applications
A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
A good understanding of the need for confidentiality is essential
