Summary
Title: HGV Driver / LGV Cat C+E (Class 1) Driver The Best connection group LTD Group is currently recruiting for Class 1 drivers Night Drivers in the Stoke-on-Trent Area.
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class 1 HGV Driver to join our team, specialising in the transportation of timber. If you have a strong work ethic and excellent driving skills, we want to hear from you!
Sunday to Thursday with shift start times between 17.15 - 18.45. Ongoing work until at least October 2025.
Key Responsibilities: Safely operate a Class 1 HGV to transport timber products to various locations Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and road-worthiness Secure timber loads using ratchet straps to prevent movement during transit Comply with all road traffic regulations and company policies Maintain accurate delivery records and paperwork Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any issues promptly Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients on delivery sites Adhere to delivery schedules while maintaining a high level of safety Requirements: Valid Class 1 HGV (C+E) licence Experience using ratchet straps to secure loads though not essential as training can be provided Up-to-date CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) and tachograph card Strong awareness of health and safety regulations Excellent driving record with no major infringements Ability to work independently and manage time effectively What We Offer:

£19.16 payable for hours between 22.00-06.00 and £17.51 between 16.00-2.00.
