The Governing Board of Elysium Training and the Director are looking to appoint a Multi Trade Tradesman / Instructor to join our growing team.
Elysium Training is a Specialist Provider of Alternative Education based in the heart of Leigh. Our mission is to create a community built on improving life chances for its young people within a culture of challenge, high expectations and values-based decision making. We provide an alternative education to young adults who have a flare for construction and want to learn the skills and knowledge needed to progress in this industry. We also offer functional Maths and English, Careers, Preparation for Adulthood as well as enrichment opportunities.
We are looking to for a dedicated professional who will provide a comprehensive and high-quality delivery of their trade to the learners of Elysium Training.
This role will involve supporting and teaching our learners to develop knowledge and skills within your specific trade to work towards them achieving a Level 1 & 2 in Construction. There is also opportunity to gain a formal teaching qualification (e.g. Levels 3 Award in Education and Teaching, PTLLS) if you do not currently hold this qualification.
We are looking for an individual who is willing to go above and beyond to support our learners to achieve both academically and personally during their time with us at Elysium Training.
The post will involve supporting learners both Pre 16 and Post 16 with SEMH and other additional learning needs. There is a strong emphasis on the nurture and care of our learners, combined with a significant focus on their emotional and mental health and well-being, alongside the delivery of our specialist curriculum. Staff work tirelessly as a team to create a safe, inclusive environment where learners receive the support they need to help them overcome personal barriers and to make progress with their learning.
The Post requires applicants to demonstrate initiative, a desire to become involved in professional development, and a willingness to be flexible and adapt calmly to ever changing situations.
