The Role
Bolton’s short breaks service for disabled young people and their families have an opportunity for someone to join the team as a Senior Residential Support Worker. This is to enable us to maintain the high standards currently in place and enable us to meet the overall aim of the children’s home by providing high quality, short break care for children and young people with learning disabilities who may also have additional care needs arising from behavioural difficulties. This will be done in partnership with their parents.
About You
We are looking for an individual who is enthusiastic, creative, proactive, organised and able to make a commitment to the home and in supporting young disabled people to stay safe, keep healthy, enjoy and achieve and take part in decisions which affect their lives whilst they are in our care.
You will need to have previous experience working with children with disabilities.
You will also need to able to lead and motivate a large staff team, supervise staff and deputise for the Registered Manager when needed.
