Summary
Welder / Fabricator with experience of either Mig / Tig / MMA / Manual metal Arc or Stick welding techniques, is required to perform plastic, stainless steel and aluminium welding for a well-established company based in Plymouth, Devon, South West England.
SALARY: £15.46 - £16.62 per hour (depending on experience and qualifications) - plus opportunities for overtime at enhanced rates
LOCATION: Plymouth, Devon (PL7) – Fully Site-Based
JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent
WORKING HOURS: Day Shift (over 4 days), 38 hours, Monday to Thursday 07:00 – 17:00

JOB OVERVIEW
We have a fantastic job opportunity for a Welder / Fabricator with experience of either Mig / Tig / MMA / Manual metal Arc or Stick welding techniques, is required to perform plastic, stainless steel and aluminium welding.
As a Welder / Fabricator you will join the team in preparing and assembling metal components for welding.
Working as the Welder / Fabricator you will cut, drill, linish, bend (form), and clean components using a variety of hand and machine tools.
DUTIES
Your duties and responsibilities as the Welder / Fabricator will include:
• Set up and operate a variety of hand and machine tools to cut, drill, linish, bend (form), and clean components
• Perform plastic, stainless steel, and aluminium welding
• Make precise joints to enable tank pressure testing
• Assemble finished parts and components as required by production specifications
• Carry out welding tasks using Mig / Tig / MMA / Manual metal Arc or Stick techniques on a range of fabricated items
• Perform plasma cutting operations as required
• Ensure all work is completed in line with company quality, safety, and technical standards
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
• Pre-entry qualification as a recognised Welder / Fabricator and/or a City & Guilds or NVQ certification
• Candidates with a Level 2 recognised apprenticeship (or equivalent) will be considered, provided they have some relevant industry experience
• Strong understanding of welding techniques
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work
• Team player
• Completion of a Level 3, 4-year apprenticeship in Fabrication / Welding is highly desirable
