Summary
Key Responsibilities: Prepare operating rooms before surgeries by setting up surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies. Assist in positioning and transporting patients to and from the operating room. Maintain cleanliness and sterility of the Operating Theatre by cleaning and disinfecting rooms and equipment after procedures. Ensure proper disposal of biohazardous materials and adherence to infection control protocols. Restock supplies and surgical instruments as needed. Assist with the safe handling and transport of specimens to the laboratory. Support the surgical team during procedures as directed, including passing instruments and holding retractors (if trained and permitted). Monitor and maintain inventory of surgical supplies and equipment. Respond promptly to requests from surgical staff during procedures. Adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift/move patients and equipment.
