Summary

We are looking for a SEND Teaching Partner to join our nurturing and inclusive team.
This post will be class based with responsibility for the delivery of targeted provision for pupils with an Education, Health and Care Plan. However, there will also be an element of whole class and group support to enable all pupils to learn effectively. The successful candidate will need to be proactive in championing the needs of the child, working effectively with the class teacher to take a lead role in the delivery of tailored learning.
The role will also involve delivering tailored programmes of intervention to support specific needs including communication, social interaction, speech and language and emotional regulation. The role will also include support to develop children’s social understanding and interaction during lunchtimes. The successful candidate will also be required to work closely with the class teacher, Inclusion Leader and external agencies in order to continually review and monitor provision and progress.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated and passionate team member who is passionate about nurturing pupils to learn effectively, and make good progress so that they can grow and flourish as successful young people. Dedication, energy, humour as well as a commitment to continual professional development are key requirements of the role!
Previous experience of supporting pupils with special educational needs is desirable. We are looking for candidates who have particular skills in one or more of the following areas: Speech and language difficulties Social communication, interaction and play Autism Sensory needs Social, Emotional and Mental Health
The successful candidate will require a good standard of education, normally evidenced by 3 or more GCSEs (including Mathematics and English) at Grade C or above or other equivalents.
The successful candidate should possess NVQ Level 3 for Teaching Assistants/ other relevant qualification or minimum 3 years relevant experience of working with children in an educational context.
Appropriate training and access to relevant CPD will be provided for the successful candidate.

Contract Information: 17.5 hours, 08:30 - 13:00, Monday to Friday, Term time only. This is a temporary post subject to funding ceasing or when the child leaves the school. Interview date: Wednesday 9th of July 2025
