LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT SPECIALIST ASC CENTRE (Fixed term from 1/9/25 to 31/8/26)
Grade 7 (SCP 015) FTE £29,093 Five mornings a week (Monday to Friday / Equivalent to 15 hours, 3 hours a day)
Working hours will be 9.30am to 12.30pm.

The Governors of this successful, happy school wish to appoint a skilled and enthusiastic Learning Support
Assistant to work in our ASC Centre. Our specialist classroom, with the mainstream school, supports 8 primary aged children from across the Ystradgynlais Cluster who have a diagnosis of autism spectrum condition.
The role will involve working within the provision, as well as supporting individual children in accessing mainstream lessons.
We are looking for a motivated, suitably qualified, experienced and dedicated individual, who will work alongside our existing team.
The successful candidate will:
• Be an excellent practitioner with high expectations for all children.
• Be able to support the delivery of all aspects of teaching and learning.
• Have a good understanding of ASC behaviours and ways to successfully manage these.
• Be effective communicators, who are willing to work in collaboration with colleagues.
• Be willing to participate fully in whole school life.
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT WILL BE SUBJECT TO AN ENHANCED CRIMINAL RECORDS BUREAU CHECK.
