About The Role

As a credit controller in our team you will handle your own portfolio of customers, which means you steadily build up and nurture great relationships.

Using your communications skills effectively both over the phone or email will ensure you are representing our company in a professional manor. Much of the time you are chasing overdue debt but will also be handling inbound queries so customer focus is key. Your main contacts will be customers, internal stakeholders such as account managers and other business departments.

Ultimately you will achieve reduced debtor days, prevent legal escalations and resolve queries quickly and effectively.


Key Responsibilities

  • Pro-actively deal with both due and overdue debt ensuring queries are resolved effectively
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external customers in addition to other agencies
  • Be accountable for and take ownership of your allocated ledger
  • Improving percentage of debts paid to terms
  • Effective reduction of aged debt
  • Escalation of accounts in line with agreed collection paths
  • Processing credit card payments as and when required
  • Participate in monthly debt conference calls with internal stakeholders

  • Proven customer service experience
  • Excellent customer service skills being assertive and professional at all times
  • Effective communication skills over both phone and email, maintaining good relations
  • Pro-active and tenacious approach to work
  • Resilient attitude towards challenging scenarios
  • Demonstrate the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external customers
  • Some credit control experience is desirable
