Are you a reliable and proactive team player who takes pride in delivering great service? We’re looking for a dedicated Driver/Valeter to join our busy rental team at our Edinburgh depot. In this hands-on role, you’ll help ensure our vehicles are professionally presented, safely delivered, and ready for customer use, playing a key part in our commitment to dependable hire solutions.
How This Role Supports Our Hire Solutions:
Your efforts keep our fleet in top condition and ready when customers need it. By ensuring vehicles are clean, safe, and delivered on time, you directly support the efficiency and reliability JP Rentals is known for. ensuring vehicles are clean, safe, and delivered on time, you directly support the efficiency and reliability that JP Rentals is known for, your responsibilities will include:
> Safely deliver and collect rental vehicles from customer locations.
> Ensure all vehicles are thoroughly cleaned to a high standard, both inside and out, before they are made available for hire.
> Conduct off-hire inspections and record any damages.
> Checking of service certificates that are due and update service stickers on equipment
> Refuel vehicles when necessary after off-hire.
> Perform essential safety checks on vehicles (oil, tyres, screen wash, etc.) to ensure they are safe for hire.
> Test drive vehicles when required to ensure they are in good working condition.
> Help with general site and yard maintenance as needed.
What Will Make You a Great Fit:
> A full UK driving licence (Essential)
> Experience in a driving or rental environment (Desirable)
> Ability to clean and maintain vehicles to a high standard
> A customer-focused approach with a positive, can-do attitude
