Are you looking for an exciting and challenging opportunity to lead and manage a specialist team of procurement professionals? If so, ESPO is looking for an individual to head up its procurement service team, which is responsible for the 28,000 products that make up our comprehensive catalogue range.

About the Role

We are a public sector-owned professional buying organisation with ambitious growth plans for the future. We are looking for a highly talented individual to lead our catalogue range category. You will be responsible for project delivery and managing an annual procurement work plan, including day-to-day quality management and sign-off/approval processes, performance management, and HR matters.

About You

To apply for this post, you must:

  • Have extensive experience in managing procurements at an influential level
  • Be a Member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (MCIPs)
  • Have a Business or other relevant degree
  • Have previously taken a lead role in a category management environment
  • Understand procurement policy and legislative framework within the public sector
  • Demonstrated the ability to communicate clearly across all levels of relevant organisations, both verbally and in writing to influence and shape outcomes
  • Be commercially astute and have the ability to interpret financial reports

We’d also expect you to share our commitment to our values and will ask you to provide evidence when you have demonstrated them as part of the interview process.
