Responsibilities
Monitor traffic and assist children in safely crossing roads at designated crossing points.
Educate school-aged children about road safety and pedestrian awareness.
Coordinate with local authorities and school officials to improve safety measures in school zones.
Maintain clear visibility and be approachable to students and parents during crossing times.
Report any unsafe conditions or incidents to local law enforcement or school administration.
Enforce traffic rules and regulations to ensure compliance and enhance safety.
Work collaboratively with other patrol officers to cover multiple crossings if needed.
Requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Experience working with children in a school or community setting is preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and drivers.
Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.
Demonstrated sense of responsibility and commitment to the safety of children.
Basic understanding of traffic laws and pedestrian safety protocols.
Availability to work during peak school hours.
