Location: Orchard House, Lincoln (Hybrid Working) Duration: Temporary Contract (13 July – 1 December 2025) Working Hours: 37 hours per week (Mon–Fri, 08:30–17:00) Pay Rate:

Lincolnshire County Council is seeking a proactive and customer-focused Finance Technician to support a planned peak in workload within the Credit Control, Adult Care Charges, and Income teams.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Acting as the first point of contact via telephone for customer service queries
Supporting financial processing for credit control and income collection
Assisting Adult Care Charges team with accurate and timely financial guidance
Delivering excellent service to internal and external stakeholders
What We’re Looking For:
5 GCSEs or equivalent; AAT qualification (or working towards) highly desirable
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to handle sensitive queries with empathy and professionalism
Organised and efficient with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Confident using IT systems, including finance-related platforms
Working Pattern:
Initial 2 weeks office-based (Lincoln) for training
Hybrid pattern thereafter: 2 days in-office per week (Wednesdays + one flexible day)
