Summary
CNC Turner - XYZ Prototrak Lathe | Buxton, Derbyshire; SK17 | 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day | Monday to Friday | £15.50 + per hour | Overtime available, paid at time + 1/4
We are a long-established company in the High Peak town of Buxton. Established in 1967, the company has moved to more modern premises on a busy industrial estate, and with continued investment it has evolved into the CNC precision engineering business it is today.
Due to continued growth and increasing workload we require a competent CNC Turner to program, set and operate an XYZ Prototrak Lathe for our busy workshop.
The successful candidate will earn £15.50 + per hour, depending on skills and experience, to be discussed at interview.
Please note - it is favourable for the successful candidate to have previous experience with the XYZ Prototrak Control. The ideal candidate will also need to live within a commutable distance to Buxton; SK17 9RZ.
Are you the right person for the job?
• You will be enthusiastic and demonstrate an excellent attitude to work
• Have experience working in a busy subcontract machine shop environment
• You will be an effective communicator
• Be able to work efficiently within the team
• To be self-motivated and be able to work with minimal supervision
What will your role look like?
• Experience in working with programming CNC Lathes is essential.
• Be able to measure and work to tight tolerances
• The ability to read and understand customer drawings
• Be able to use measuring and inspection equipment accurately
• Competent in all aspects of tooling
• Maintain a clean and safe working area
• Experience with working with a variety of materials
