The Opportunity
Due to the nature of specific projects, we are seeking a female Fire Door Inspector to carry out door inspections in buildings where a female presence is requested or required. You will be responsible for inspecting fire-rated doors, logging your findings on our digital platform, and ensuring compliance with current fire safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct on-site fire door inspections (residential and communal doors) in accordance with industry standards.

Assess the condition and compliance of doors, frames, ironmongery, intumescent seals, and signage.

Record findings using our digital inspection tools (training provided).

Provide clear photographic evidence and notes for remedial action.

Interact professionally with residents, especially in sensitive or vulnerable environments.

Support the wider compliance team with site-based fire safety audits as needed.

Essential Requirements
Experience in fire door inspections, facilities, fire safety, or a construction-related field would be a nice-to-have.

Understanding of fire door regulations (BS 8214, BS 9999, Regulatory Reform Order 2005). Not a must, but some understanding.

Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Comfortable working independently and respectfully in residential settings.

Ability to travel to sites across London and the surrounding regions.

Desirable (not essential):
FDIS or similar fire inspection certification.

Experience working in social housing or with vulnerable residents.

Familiarity with digital reporting platforms (e.g., iAuditor, Bolster, Zutec, or bespoke apps).
