Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support pupils in a mixed Year 2/3 class. This is a great opportunity to join a warm, inclusive school and play a key role in helping children thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as a Year 2/3 Teaching Assistant:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality lessons across Year 2 and Year 3

  • Work with individual pupils or small groups to support learning and development

  • Help create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment

  • Assist with preparation of learning materials and classroom organisation

  • Provide feedback to teachers on pupil progress and behaviour

  • Support children with varying needs, including those with SEND

Ideal Year 2/3 Teaching Assistant:

  • Experience working with children in Key Stage 1 and/or Key Stage 2

  • A calm, nurturing, and flexible approach

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills as a Year 2/3 Teaching Assistant

  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team

  • An understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures (training provided if necessary)
