Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support pupils in a mixed Year 2/3 class. This is a great opportunity to join a warm, inclusive school and play a key role in helping children thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as a Year 2/3 Teaching Assistant:
Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality lessons across Year 2 and Year 3
Work with individual pupils or small groups to support learning and development
Help create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment
Assist with preparation of learning materials and classroom organisation
Provide feedback to teachers on pupil progress and behaviour
Support children with varying needs, including those with SEND
Ideal Year 2/3 Teaching Assistant:
Experience working with children in Key Stage 1 and/or Key Stage 2
A calm, nurturing, and flexible approach
Good communication and interpersonal skills as a Year 2/3 Teaching Assistant
The ability to work effectively as part of a team
An understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures (training provided if necessary)
