Summary
What does this role entail?Reporting to the Kitchen Manager, you will actively contribute to overseeing the day-to-day operations of various designated Kitchen Units. Taking a hands-on approach, you will lead a team of seasonal members, ensuring a seamless and efficient workflow. Your responsibilities extend to maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in food production areas, as well as overseeing the upkeep of equipment and utensils. A paramount aspect of your role involves ensuring strict adherence to Health and Safety legislation, guiding your immediate team in enforcing policies, procedures, and elevated cleaning standards.Key duties will include:To support Kitchen Production Supervisors in the delivery of designated Kitchen unitsLead the team delivery of food production and health and safety legislationEnsure your units are operated and maintained to department standardsCommunicate and lead the team to ensure critical information is passed on in a timely matter including regular team briefingsDelegate appropriate tasks to the teamEnsure daily and weekly procedures, including temperature checks, food labelling/dating and storage are carried out by the teamSupport team members in delivering their roles effectivelyAbout youYou will be a natural leader, thriving under pressure whilst focusing the team to deliver excellent quality food standards.You will be reliable and committed, and enjoy exceeding expectationsYou will have a responsible approach and excellent communication skills so you can provide your colleagues with feedback to help develop themselves and the businessYou will have a strong understanding of Health and Safety requirements A little about usAt Longleat we offer a day out like no other, our guests are invited to step into the Thynn family home where they will find the finest example of Elizabethan Architecture.
