Summary

Construction Site Operative Wanted

London-Based (BS35 & BS37 Projects) | 12+ Months | Monday to Friday
Stable, Full-Time Work on a Major Infrastructure Scheme

We're recruiting a Construction Site Operative to join a 3-person gang working on a long-term cycle path construction project. You'll support skilled workers and chargehands with all aspects of day-to-day civils work.

Whether you're looking to step up or solidify your experience, this role offers long-term opportunity and a chance to be part of a tight, well-organised team.

Requirements:
  • Some experience working on construction or civil engineering sites

  • Comfortable handling basic tools and manual labour tasks

  • Willing to work outdoors in all conditions

  • Physically fit, punctual, and reliable

  • A team player with good communication skills

  • Driving licence preferred (especially if supporting a mobile gang)

Day-to-Day Tasks Will Include:
  • Assisting with site clearance, setup, and material movement

  • Supporting skilled workers with tool handling and preparation

  • Using basic tools (e.g. wheelbarrows, rakes, compactors)

  • Maintaining site tidiness and following health & safety rules

  • Riding as part of a gang in a 3.5-tonne tipper vehicle to and from site
