Key Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping & Financial Management: Manage and maintain accurate books of accounts using leading UK accounting software, including Xero, ensuring data integrity and reliability.
Team Leadership: Supervise and guide a team of 4+ members, effectively managing workload distribution and fostering team efficiency.
UK & Ireland Accounting Expertise: Over 3 years of experience handling accounting tasks for UK and Ireland clients, with a focus on compliance and best practices.
Financial Compliance: Conduct detailed reviews of bookkeeping records to guarantee accuracy and adherence to UK financial standards.
Monthly & Quarterly Closures: Oversee monthly and quarterly financial closing activities, including the reconciliation of bank statements and general ledgers.
Financial Reporting: Prepare balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and other financial reports as required, in accordance with client needs.
Regulatory Financial Statements: Compile financials in line with FRS 102 and FRS 105 standards, using Xero and based on thresholds set by HMRC.
Year-End Adjustments: Manage year-end adjustments, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations for precise financial reporting.
Management Reports: Generate detailed management reports, including variance analysis and financial forecasting.
Client Collaboration: Work closely with clients to resolve discrepancies, provide insights, and offer tailored financial solutions.
Tax Compliance: Expertise in UK corporation tax calculations, VAT return preparation, and filing according to HMRC requirements.
Filing & Submissions: Ensure compliance with HMRC online filing standards and Companies House submissions.
Skills & Qualifications:
Software Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Xero and other UK-specific accounting and tax software.
Microsoft Office: Skilled in MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office tools for reporting and analysis.
