Summary
We are currently seeking a responsible and polite individual to join our highways team as a Highway Gateman on a sub contractor basis. This role is to ensure the safety and smooth operation of roadworks and site access points.
Main Responsibilities
- Monitor and control access to roadwork zones for vehicles, workers, and visitors
- Direct traffic and deliveries safely in and out of the site
- Provide clear information to drivers, pedestrians, and local residents
- Ensure safety procedures are followed and report any concerns to site supervisor
The role requires
- Strong communication and observation skills
- A calm, professional attitude
- Punctual, reliable
- A CSCS card and Traffic Marshal (Banksman) ticket are beneficial, but not essential
Must have full clean driving licence, 3 points accepted, - Own transport may be required, as the site may not be easily accessible by public transport
