Summary
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Training and Apprenticeship Coordinator to lead the planning, delivery, and evaluation of training programmes across the Security Services Group (SSG). This is an exciting opportunity to support the design, delivery, and evaluation of learning interventions that build capability across the department. The role plays a key part in supporting the professional development of staff, ensuring training needs are met, and maintaining high standards across our Training Academy.

Key responsibilities:
Develop and Implement Training Programmes: Design and deliver training and apprenticeship programmes that align with organisational goals and employee development needs.
Coordinate Training Delivery: Organise and schedule training sessions, workshops, and seminars, managing all associated logistics to ensure smooth delivery.
Evaluate Training Effectiveness: Monitor and assess the impact of training through feedback, performance metrics, and continuous improvement practices. Develop and apply evaluation methods to measure the impact of training and apprenticeship initiatives, using feedback to drive improvements.
Maintain Training Records: Accurately record training attendance, completion rates, and feedback using appropriate systems and tools.
Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the main point of contact for internal stakeholders, training providers, and apprenticeship partners to ensure effective delivery and continuous improvement. Work closely with Operations Managers and Team Leaders to identify training needs and develop tailored solutions.
Manage Training Materials: Create, update, and maintain training resources, including manuals, guides, and digital content.
Budget Management: Support the management of training budgets, including procurement of external training providers and monitoring of spend against forecast.
Support Apprenticeship Programmes: Support Apprentice Lead in coordinating apprenticeship schemes in line with government standards and levy requirements, supporting both apprentices and line managers.
Promote Continuous Learning: Foster a culture of ongoing professional development and learning across the organisation.
Additional Duties: Undertake other tasks as directed by the Learning and Development Manager and the Apprentice Lead to support the effective running of the Training Academy.
