Summary

About us: Additional Learning Needs (ALN) and Wellbeing in the Vale of Glamorgan is recruiting for a 2-day Complex Cases Manager to oversee the ALN team in conducting its statutory functions in relation the ALN Act 2018 and the ALN Code. Oversee the ALN Dispute Resolution process and work on legal cases and complaints. The department has an excellent track record and enjoys good relationships with schools in the Vale of Glamorgan. This is an exciting time of change where new systems are being implemented and developed, which will result in better and more personalised outcomes for children and young people.

About the role:
Pay Details: Grade 11, SCP 40-43, £49,764 - £52,805 (p.a/Pro Rata)
Hours of Work: 14.8 hours
Working Pattern: 2 days
Main Place of Work: Civic Offices and remote home working

Description: To provide leadership and support for the ALN case work Team and ALN support staff.


About you / You will need:
• Experience of leading a team liaising with colleagues, professionals and parents. Experience of dispute resolution and educational tribunal process/ legal work.
• Knowledge of ALN and ALNET, ICT packages.
• Good administrative, communication and leadership skills
