Summary
What skills and experience we're looking for
We seek to appoint a Science Technicianto assist the Science Team with the efficient day to day delivery of lessons.
The successful applicant will need to be committed to providing an outstanding service that supports children and young people to succeed. They will need to be an enthusiastic and versatile person who works well in a team. Applicants should also be self-motivated with the ability to work independently and with close direction.
The successful candidate should:
Be motivated to work with children and young people to ensure they are successful
Have a commitment to, and belief in, the equal value of all students
Have an ability to form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children and young people
Be responsible and conscientious approach to Health and Safety
Be efficient and organised: independent and effective in time management
Have proven commitment to developing professionally and to learning new things
Be able to work as part of a team
Be willing to be flexible and adaptable
Be able to communicate effectively
Be resilient when working effectively under pressure
Have competent ICT skills
The following skills and experience are desirable:
Knowledge and experience of working in a Science laboratory
Knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety requirements
Prior relevant experience of working in a school

This is a permanent post.
The hours of duty are 8.15 am – 3.30 pm (including a 30 minute unpaid break), term time plus training days. There may be some flexibility regarding hours of duty.
