Summary

Commercial Panel Beater (£60,000 OTE)

Location: North East

Salary: Up to £50,000 + Bonus (OTE £60k)

Hours: 45 Hours per Week, Monday - Friday (Flexible start/finish times)

Extras: 29 Days Holiday Including Bank Holidays (rising with service)

We're working with a top-tier commercial vehicle repair centre in Sunderland seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial Panel Beater to join their busy, professional team. The workshop is fully equipped with the latest commercial-grade repair technology and supports a wide range of vehicles including vans, HGVs, and fleet units.

Key Responsibilities for Panel Beater / Panel Technician:

• Repair and replace damaged panels on commercial vehicles to manufacturer specifications.
• Use appropriate tools including MIG welding, spot welders, and body alignment jigs.
• Accurately measure and align body panels for safe, roadworthy repairs.
• Complete structural repairs, heavy impact work, and panel straightening.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working area.
• Work efficiently to achieve daily productivity and quality targets.
• Collaborate with other technicians to meet customer deadlines.

Skills and Qualifications for Panel Beater / Panel Technician:

• ATA / NVQ Level 3 qualified in Vehicle Body Repair (or equivalent).
• Proven experience as a Panel Beater working on commercial vehicles is essential.
• Strong knowledge of repair techniques across heavy crash and light panel work.
• High attention to detail and pride in producing top-quality work.
• Motivated team player with the ability to work independently where needed.
