Summary

ASD specialist Tutor, GBP25 - GBP30 ph

We are looking for an experienced, passionate and patient Tutor, who has a background working with ASD. To be successful in this role, you must have knowledge on how to be a successful mentor for this young person and be willing to persevere and enable engagement with associated provisions.
This young person is 10 years old, and tuition will take place within their family home, near to Bedale. The young person has various sensory needs, needs support with movement breaks, interaction with others and use of technology.
When working with this young person, you must use strategies for working with children who experience demand related difficulties.
Information about the role:
· Ongoing placement, until the end of the 2026 Summer Term
· Gradual build up of hours to reach 13 hours per week
· GBP25 - GBP30 per hour
· Additional referrals available
The desired candidate will:
· Have experience working with SEN, specifically ASD and demand related difficulties
· Be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box
· Be proactive in engaging with the young person, professionals and the family
What we need from you:
· Hold a right to work in the UK
· Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to complete a new application
· Provide references to cover the last two years of employment
· The ability to commit to the young person and work for the duration of the placement
