A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Nursery Teacher to join Knowleswood Primary School.
Knowleswood Primary School is a two-form entry primary school located on the outskirts of Holme Wood in Bradford. We are proud to be an inclusive school which provides a high quality, creative and challenging curriculum for all of our pupils to support them to learn and thrive within a secure, caring and happy environment. Our school has recently undergone extensive internal works, and we are proud to have such an inspiring and exciting environment to share with our pupils, staff and community.
The successful candidate will be required to teach children within our newly developed early years provision; planned investment in the coming academic year will further enhance the provision. The successful candidate will be part of a well-established and growing team of staff who are committed and work hard to ensure that all our children are included, engaged and inspired to be their best, whilst working collaboratively with the Leadership team to ensure a relevant, meaningful, and exciting education for all pupils.
Knowleswood Primary School is part of Exceed Academies Trust, which currently consists of fourteen academies; ten primary schools, an all-through primary-to-secondary academy, two alternative provision academies (Primary and Secondary), and a specialist setting for children/young people who suffer from social, emotional and mental health difficulties. The Trust has an excellent reputation within Bradford and beyond, and an outstanding track record of supporting staff in developing their careers through specialist training lead by the Exceed Teaching School Hub and our Outstanding SCITT.
The successful candidate will possess:
• Recent successful experience as a primary teacher
• Knowledge and clear understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage statutory framework
• Detailed knowledge and understanding of education in the early years/primary age phase, including tracking and monitoring pupil progress
• The ability to create a stimulating, safe, and inclusive learning environment
• Experience of planning, preparing and delivering engaging lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
• Promote positive behaviour and uphold safeguarding standards at all times
The essential requirements of this role are;
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (Primary age range)
• Degree level or equivalent qualification
• Strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and child development
• Experience working in a nursery or early years setting
• Commitment to ongoing professional development
