Summary
We’re looking for a Welsh speaking People and OD Advisor, with experience of working in a generalist HR role. You will play an important role in our People function - delivering advice, supporting managers, developing policy, managing recruitment activities and supporting learning and development.
Who We’re looking for
You will be allocated responsibility for supporting the delivery of several key areas including recruitment, learning and development, policy and employee relations, engagement, and diversity and inclusion.
Key tasks include:
• Develop and ensure the effective implementation of People policies and procedures
• Deliver effective recruitment and induction activities
• Coordinate the delivery and evaluation of learning and development activities
• Contact / referral point for People and OD enquiries
• Provide advice and support on a range of People matters, including attendance and performance management, disciplinary and dispute resolution matters
• Support the development and implementation of People and initiatives
• Maintain records according to policy, audit and legal requirements and ensure the timely processing of information to payroll
• Collect and analyse management information for reporting
• Support the delivery of the annual People Survey
• To undertake any other duties as may reasonably be required by managers
Job specific criteria
It’s essential that you:
• can work through the medium of Welsh (spoken and written)
• have experience of working in a generalist People/HR role, with a broad knowledge employment law and HR practice
• are highly motivated, with experience of managing a varied workload and competing priorities to meet deadlines
• have excellent communication, literacy and numeracy skills
• are confident in using IT systems
• have good interpersonal skills, are approachable and able to form effective working relationships with a wide range of people at all levels and externally
• can deal sensitively with confidential issues
• have the confidence to make effective, fair and evidence-based decisions
• are detail focussed and can work accurately
It is desirable that you have a CIPD level 3 qualification.
