The School of Engineering seeks to appoint a Programme Manager. This position will report to Professor Alasdair McDonald within the School of Engineering.
The Opportunity:
The appointee will have a major role in supporting the Place Based Impact Accelerator Account (PBIAA) programme on translating research, research expertise and research facilities into the Offshore Wind sector in the East of Scotland. The appointee will contribute to the delivery of the ambitious research impact and networking programme.
The successful applicant will operate semi-autonomously, managing a wide range of activities, competing priorities and a complicated matrix of internal and external stakeholders; reporting within broad policy outlines to the PBIAA lead.
This role is grade UE07, part-time at 17.5 hours per week, and is available on a fixed term basis for up to 48 months.
Your skills and attributes for success:
Experience in project or programme management in a University or similar research or higher education environment.
Ability to establish and maintain a network of personal working relationships across a large complex organisation such as a University.
Excellent in analytical, written and oral communication
Ability to think and act strategically and deal with complex problems.
Ability to balance priorities and meet competing deadlines.
