Assistant Team Leader - Night Shift
Connect Appointments are working in partnership with a leading logistics company in Uddingston to recruit an experienced Assistant Team Leader to join their night shift operations team.
Working as an Assistant Team Leader, you'll support the night shift Supervisor in the day-to-day running of the site - ensuring smooth operations, satisfied customers, and efficient performance across the board. With your duties including, but not limited to:
- Ensure timely and accurate freight deliveries
- Oversee the operations team to maintain a safe, efficient working environment
- Plan loads for collections/deliveries (C+D) and partner vehicles
- Report discrepancies and maintain high standards of health & safety
- Complete regular admin tasks to support customer and network requirements
- Enforce health and safety policies, including correct PPE usage
- Log and report incidents and near misses appropriately
- Use internal IT systems effectively and report any system issues
