Inspire Future Scientists as a SEN Science Teacher!
Are you a passionate and innovative SEN Science Teacher seeking a rewarding opportunity to make a profound impact on young lives? We're looking for a dedicated professional to join our team in Bucknall, Stoke-on-Trent, for September 2025.
About Us
We are part of an innovative provider of education and care for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities. Our "Outstanding" rated school supports young people aged 6-19 with Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC), communication, and sensory needs. We pride ourselves on excellent student behaviour and offer a rich curriculum that includes life skills, GCSE/BTEC accreditations, and a functional skills/entry-level pathway.
The Role: Cultivate Curiosity and Discovery
As a Class Teacher, you will be instrumental in providing high-quality teaching that empowers our pupils to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. You'll foster a culture that promotes excellence, equality, and high expectations for all students.
This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher to drive forward our approach to Science across KS2, KS3, KS4, and Post 16. You'll collaborate with colleagues to develop engaging and innovative lessons that ignite a passion for scientific inquiry and discovery in our students. You'll also support the wider team in integrating practical experiments and real-world applications to enhance learning.
While your primary focus will be on Science, there may be an element of delivering wider subject lessons to ensure the smooth running of the school. Naturally, you will uphold all school policies and practices, including those related to safeguarding and equality of opportunity.
What We're Looking For
We are seeking a candidate who demonstrates:
- PGCE, Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification, along with evidence of in-service training.
- Strong academic qualifications and experience teaching Science.
- A clear understanding of Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures.
- The ability to create and maintain strong, nurturing relationships with young people.
- Experience in managing a range of learning approaches, particularly for students with anxiety or reluctant learners.

- Continuous Training and Development: We offer a wide range of programs and opportunities to enhance your skills and further your career.
- Competitive Pay and Rewards: Our pay and reward packages are reviewed annually to ensure they are comparable to or better than other similar organizations.
- Enhanced Benefits: Enjoy enhanced annual leave, company sick pay, a pension scheme, and life assurance.
- Cost-Saving Perks: Access to Perkbox, a free app offering deals and discounts on everything from weekly food bills and phone plans to eating out and gym memberships. You can also use Perkbox for our cycle to work scheme and car scheme.
- UK Health Cash Plan: This plan helps cover day-to-day healthcare expenses such as optician and dental bills for you and your children, with the option to add a partner.
- Employee Assistance Programme: Your health and well-being are paramount. Access online tools, information, and a 24/7 freephone counselling service for a wide variety of issues.
