Your new role
As a Locum Social Worker within the Permanence Team, you will manage a caseload of children with plans for long-term fostering, adoption, or special guardianship. Your responsibilities will include:
- Undertaking assessments and developing care plans
- Preparing reports for court proceedings and permanency panels
- Liaising with foster carers, adopters, and multi-agency professionals
- Ensuring each child's voice is heard and their needs are met throughout their journey to permanence

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/Diploma)
- Registration with Social Work England
- Experience in children's social care, ideally within a permanence or long-term care setting
- Strong assessment, communication, and report-writing skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
