We are delighted to be supporting a prestigious university in Central London in their search for an experienced and highly motivated Mechanical Engineer to join their Estates and Facilities team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a vital role in the maintenance, development, and enhancement of complex mechanical systems across a varied estate, contributing to the university's mission of excellence in education and research.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering planned and reactive maintenance of mechanical plant and equipment
- Supporting the design and project management of mechanical services across capital works
- Advising on energy efficiency, sustainability, and compliance with current legislation
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders and external contractors to ensure high standards of service delivery
About You:
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline)
- Proven experience in a similar building services/estates environment, ideally within the public or higher education sector
- Strong understanding of HVAC, BMS, and other mechanical systems
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
