Consultant Home Treatment Team Working Age Psychiatry
We are seeking a knowledgeable, driven, and forward-thinking consultant to join our sector- based working age service in Tameside. The post is available for 10 PAs. The holder will be responsible for patients under the Home Treatment Team for Working Age patients in Tameside and Glossop. This is a new post, the team having previously worked with the respective sector consultants. Please see Job Description.
This is an exciting time to join the Trust, there are many opportunities to contribute to the organisations’ development and to look at service redesign models. Tameside has a strong teaching commitment and candidates will be expected to contribute to the teaching of medical and nursing staff and 4th medical students. There are close links with ongoing research projects. The Consultants contribute to local service user & carer groups.
Consultant – GA – Home Treatment Team
The post covers the geographic area of Tameside and Glossop. The post holder will be responsible for all patients under the Home Treatment Team (HTT). The team is currently small, with capacity for 15-20 patients who need home treatment as an alternative to admission or who are being transitioned to the community from the ward. However, the plan is for the team to develop and grow capacity to provide a service for patients in crisis. The post holder will negotiate a timetable with the Line Manager.
