Summary
Full-Time, self-employed Truck Driver to load, deliver and unload roofing materials from the Company Yard in Pimperne to various sites across Dorset and the South West. Valid Counterbalance Lift Truck certificate would also be an advantage. The role requires significant manual handling of roofing materials, tools etc, onto the delivery truck then unloading at a range of construction sites, residences etc so previous experience and training in manual handling would also be an advantage. Successful applicants must be willing to work flexibly and deal with a range of contractors and clients.
Applicants must have a full, clean driving licence and no driving convictions within the past, 5 years at a minimum.
Applicants must also have their own means of transport to travel from home, to the Company Yard, on a daily basis.
This is a self-employed position in the first instance. However, following a 6 month performance review, consideration may be given to offering a directly employed contract.
The Company is committed to providing additional Health & Safety training should applicants have the necessary skills and experience but require key areas of training for the role.
Working hours are approximately 7 am to 4 pm every weekday with an unpaid break of 1 hour during the day, depending on the needs/priorities on the day.
The Company seeks a hard working and flexible individual to join the existing team of Roofers, Labourers and colleagues based at the Company Yard.
