Summary
Our client Scottish Power are currently recruiting for a Technical Business Analyst to join their team based in Glasgow on a contract basis initially. SP Energy Networks is looking for a Technical Business Analyst who will be the critical link to ensuring that the business is informed, engaged, and prepared for the deployment of new systems and applications. The GIS Transformation Programme spans multiple business area and will impact thousands of users – along with requirements and process engineering activity, your role is to ensure these users have a platform to contribute to the change and champion their perspective throughout the technical development, testing and implementation of the new GIS system.
This role is offered as a Contract role (inside IR35) at market rate for an initial 5-month period with opportunity to extend.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
•Establishing collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders across the business and the programme
•Contributing to the overall communication and engagement plan, and devising and distributing the relevant communications
•Providing key stakeholders with the appropriate platforms to contribute to the development of technical solutions
•Eliciting, validating, prioritising, and managing Functional and Non-Functional Requirements
•Collating, analysing, and producing the As-Is and To-Be Process Maps, and completing the gap analysis which will inform requirements and training.
•Supporting the production of testing documentation, including Master Test Plans, Test Scenarios and Cases
•Working in conjunction with the Business Transformation and Change Management departments to produce training material
Skills and Experience
•A minimum of five years’ prior experience in Business Analysis or Business Change Analysis within a technical environment.
•Proven experience in building and executing engineering requirements.
•Experience working in SCRUM
•Strong knowledge in generating process documentation
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Excellent facilitation skills
•Excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to interpret end-user requirements and deliver outputs which fully meet these requirements
•Excellent attention to detail, with a focus on delivering the right thing the first time.
