Are you passionate about education and looking to gain valuable classroom experience before pursuing a teaching career?

A dynamic and inclusive secondary school in Swindon, part of a leading Multi Academy Trust, is offering a fantastic opportunity for high-achieving graduates to join as Graduate Secondary Teaching Assistants starting in September 2025.

This is a paid, full-time position designed to give you hands-on experience in the classroom, working alongside experienced educators to support student learning, develop your teaching skills, and explore the inner workings of a successful secondary school.

Subjects We're Especially Keen to Support:
  • Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics)


  • Mathematics


  • Modern Foreign Languages (Spanish preferred; some French)


  • Geography


  • Nutrition / Food Technology

      Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
      • Supporting teaching and learning across your subject area, or more broadly as needed


      • Working with students 1:1 or in small groups to boost understanding and engagement


      • Helping to plan lessons and prepare classroom materials


      • Supporting behaviour management and contributing to a positive learning environment


      • Gaining insight into school life, policies, and best practices


        Who We’re Looking For:
        • Final-year students or recent graduates with a 2:1 or above


        • Preferably from a Russell Group or Top 20 UK university


        • Strong interest in education and working with young people


        • Reliable, enthusiastic, and willing to take initiative


        • Passionate about one or more of the listed subject areas


        • Any prior experience with children (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, coaching) is a bonus – but not essential
