Graduate Humanities Teaching Assistant – Person Specification:

A 2:1 or higher degree in a Humanities subject (e.g. History, English, Geography, RS)
A passion for education and a desire to support young people’s learning
Some experience working with young people is desirable but not essential
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A positive, flexible, and proactive attitude
Ambition to pursue a long-term career in education

Graduate Humanities Teaching Assistant – Role Overview:

As a Graduate Humanities Teaching Assistant, you will:

Provide targeted support in lessons across the Humanities department (KS3 & KS4)
Work 1:1 and with small groups to boost confidence and understanding in subjects such as History, English, Geography, or RS
Assist teachers in the delivery of engaging, high-quality lessons
Support students with varying needs to help close learning gaps
Plan and deliver tailored intervention sessions when appropriate
Take part in weekly training and professional development to build your skills

This is a full-time, term-time role, working Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 4:00pm, starting in September 2025. Graduate Humanities Teaching Assistant
