Summary

Recruit4staff are proud to be representing a well-established food manufacturing company in their search for a Shift Maintenance Engineer to work at their site in Wrexham.

Job Role:

As a Shift Maintenance Engineer, you'll deliver multi-skilled maintenance support across the site. You will carry out planned and reactive maintenance, assist with engineering improvements, and ensure machinery is running efficiently and safely in a fast-paced food production environment.

Job Details:

• Pay: £47,300 per annum

  
  

• Shift: 4 on 4 off - 2 days 2 nights; Overtime paid at time and a half

  
  

• Reports to: Shift Engineering Team Leader

  
  

• Duration: Permanent

  
  Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform planned/reactive maintenance to reduce downtime.

    
    

  • Support continuous improvement and engineering projects.

    
    

  • Fault find across mechanical and electrical systems.

    
    

  • Use CMMS for maintenance tracking and reporting.

    
    

  • Ensure compliance with H&S, GMP, food safety, and hygiene standards.

    
    

  • Supervise contractors and support shift teams when needed.

    
    Essential Skills & Experience:

    • Maintenance experience in FMCG or manufacturing.

      
      

    • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in electrical or mechanical discipline.

      
      

    • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

      
      

    • Ability to read electrical/mechanical drawings.

      
      

    • Good communication and time management.

      
      Desirable Skills & Qualifications:

      • Food processing experience.

        
        

      • BS7671 certification, H&S training (IOSH/NEBOSH).

        
        

      • PLC I/O knowledge, VSD programming, fabrication skills.

        
        

      • MEWP licence.
