Night Care Assistant (Temporary)

21.25 hours per week, Term Time

Temporary up to 22 November 2025

£36,112 - £36,522 pro rata / £18.72 - £18.93 per hour (including shift allowance and Distant Islands Allowance)

We are looking for a responsible, enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to provide Night Cover at Papdale Halls of Residence on a temporary basis.

Papdale Halls of Residence is registered as a school care accommodation service with the Care Inspectorate and can provide services for around 70 residents. Suitably qualified persons are invited to apply for this position.

You should have relevant residential and child care experience and knowledge of relevant legislation and frameworks to support the wellbeing and protection of children and young people.

You should hold a relevant qualification in social care or child care in order to meet the registration requirements of the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) as a worker in school care accommodation, e.g. SVQ3 in Health and Social Care and HNC in Social Care. Where this is not held, qualifications must be achieved within 3 years of appointment.

This post is subject to Level 2 Disclosure Check with PVG for working in a regulated role with children.
