P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our clients, who are currently seeking an Operations Clerk to join their team based in Felixstowe on a full time, permanent basis.
Role Summary:
• Demonstrating a committed approach to customer service, communication and relationship building with all customers, suppliers, colleagues and oversea agents combined with an emphasis on proactively looking to always go the extra mile for clients.
• The job will consist of the handling of import operations procedures, once shipments have sailed. This will entitle managing ETA’s, proactively planning deliveries with our clients and vendors, checking documentation for import customs procedures and completing the import clearances, managing finances at job level and ensuring jobs are invoiced out on time.
Main Responsibilities:
• Handling and management of import movements across air and overseas.
• Understand and comply with Standard Operating Procedures set out in line with customer requirements.
• Monitor all current shipments including accurate booking and updating of operating system – Cargowise.
• Proactively liaise and update clients with ETA’s, Delivery Planning, Clearances, and Invoicing.
• Completion of customs entries overseas.
• File management ensuring data quality and timeliness of updates and invoicing.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant customs and procedure regulations.
• Working as part of a small, dynamic experienced team with opportunities to cover a wide range of operational activities with training provided as required.
Person Specification:
• Ability to manage your own accounts daily with support from management and colleagues.
• Expectation to be multi model with ability to cover imports (training will be provided for any areas unfamiliar)
• Whilst customs entries will be a part of the role this is not the sole function and training in this area can be provided if required.
Working Hours:
• Monday – Friday 09:00 – 17:30
• Soley office-based work.
