Join Our Outstanding and Award Winning Team at Treehouse Nursery Schools, Wanstead!

Treehouse Nursery School in East London is delighted to announce an exciting opportunity for passionate and skilled Room Manager. As a UNICEF rights respecting nursery committed to fostering personal, emotional and social growth, we’re seeking a professional who shares our vision to join our team.

At Treehouse, we are proud to be a Rights Respecting Nursery School, embedding the principles of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) into every aspect of our practice. We nurture children’s understanding of their rights, ensuring they feel valued, heard, and empowered within a supportive and inclusive environment.

About the Role

As the Room Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of 3–4 educators and ensuring the highest standards of care and education are consistently delivered. You will play a key role in shaping children's early experiences and creating a nurturing and purposeful learning environment.

As part of our Outstanding nursery, you will:
Lead your team in planning and delivering engaging, developmentally appropriate activities linked to the EYFS and our sequenced curriculum, supporting each child’s holistic development.
Embed the rights-respecting approach in everyday practice, promoting kindness, empathy and respect among children and staff.
Create and maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment in collaboration with your team.
Take an active role in professional development and support a culture of continuous improvement across the setting.

You will be expected to model and uphold the Treehouse HEART Core Behaviour Framework at all times, and your ability to demonstrate this will form a key part of the interview process.

Why Join Treehouse Nursery School?

This role is more than a job; it’s a calling. You’ll be part of a growing organisation with ambitious goals and a compassionate mission. We offer a supportive environment where you can make a difference in children’s lives, helping us to nurture respectful and compassionate global citizens.

The nursery is conveniently located just steps from Wanstead Station on the Central Line, with multiple bus routes stopping directly outside the nursery for easy access.

Who We’re Looking For?

We are looking for a Level 3 and above qualified Room Manager with:
Experience in implementing an Outstanding EYFS Curriculum.
A commitment to promoting the rights and voices of children.
Creativity, empathy, and a passion for fostering curiosity and independence.
Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
Bring energy, creativity, and a passion for nurturing young minds.

What We Offer

A competitive salary of £30,000 - £32,000 per annum.
A collaborative and inspiring work environment.
A CPD and a culture fully committed to evidence-based teaching and learning development.
An opportunity to work alongside motivated and passionate colleagues in a positive, purposeful, and ambitious nursery setting.
Access to leadership mentoring programme tailored for aspiring staff taking on leadership roles.
Holiday allowance of 32 days (including birthday leave). We also pay you 3 additional days when the nursery is closed during Christmas and New Year.
Access to a dedicated staff well-being committee and an active staff forum with assigned representatives.
Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) access.
Attend networking dinners and charity events.
Be part of a vibrant social calendar designed to foster team spirit and community.

This is a full time permanent role, offering stability and the chance to grow in an exceptional nursery environment. If you’re ready to be a part of something greater and help us continue our important work, we’d love to hear from you.
