Remuneration: £12.69 per hour (during 6-month probation period) / £13.32 per hour (upon completion of successful probation)

About you

Essential

• A genuine passion for helping people.
• Able to demonstrate Hanover Scotland values in inclusion, accountability, respect and collaboration.
• Ability to relate empathetically to people and recognise their right to choice and independence.
• Willing to work towards an SQV and registration with SSSC

Desirable

• 1 year experience in care or housing setting
• SQV level 2 or above and be willing to work towards an SVQ 3.
• Demonstrated commitment and ability to undertake care practice in accordance with Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) code of practice, National Care Standards, Scottish Commission for the Regulation of Care and the Association policies and procedures.

Main Responsibilities

This permanent Home Support Worker - Chandlers Court, Elgin role involves working on a rota basis covering various shifts. This is a rolling rota to support a healthy work life balance. You will be working as part of a team to ensure that services are delivered flexibly, innovatively and in a dignified, safe and stimulating way. Promoting independence and encouraging customers to exercise choice.

• Home Support Workers are responsible for providing personal care and housing support in line with care plans agreed by the customer.
• Assistance with personal mobility support and daily personal tasks.
• Medication administration from level 4.
• Providing all aspects of care at home, on site, in accordance to Scottish Government guidelines
