As part of Bordesley MAT, Birchensale Middle School works closely with Trinity High School, Woodfield Academy and Holyoakes Field First School in a very localised MAT focusing on the development of children in Redditch. Working together as part of the three-tier system we aspire to improve the educational offer for the local community.

Birchensale Middle School is a popular 5-form entry middle school with pupils on roll aged 9-13 years. We are a happy, vibrant learning community, with high aspirations for the children in our care and the staff team that supports them.

We are excited to announce the opening of a brand new block at Birchensale Middle School, and we are looking for a dedicated and reliable school cleaner to join our team!

Key Responsibilities
- Cleaning classrooms, corridors, toilets and communal areas
- Ensuring a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness is maintained
- Replenishing supplies in toilets and classrooms
- Spot cleaning of spillages
- All defects/hazards must be immediately reported to the Caretaker or Operations Manager

During the holiday period when the school is closed, routine cleaning is undertaken throughout the school. This may include stripping and sealing floors, high level dusting, wall washing, moving furniture to deep clean classrooms etc.

Requirements
- Previous cleaning experience (preferred but not essential)
- Able to communicate clearly and follow instructions
- A strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise work
- Willing to undertake training if required
