Summary
A rewarding opportunity has arisen for a compassionate and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with special educational needs. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about inclusion and making a real difference in children’s lives. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as a SEN Teaching Assistant:
Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with a range of special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, and learning difficulties.
Work closely with class teachers and SENCO to deliver targeted interventions and support strategies.
Assist in developing personalised learning plans and monitor pupil progress.
Help create a safe, positive and engaging classroom environment.
Support pupils in managing their behaviour, emotions and social interactions.
Ideal SEN Teaching Assistant:
Have experience working with children with SEN, either in a school or similar setting.
Be calm, patient and nurturing, with excellent communication skills as a SEN Teaching Assistant.
Be adaptable and able to respond to the needs of individual pupils.
Work effectively as part of a team and independently.
Hold a relevant qualification or be willing to undergo training.
