What skills and experience we're looking for
Are you inspiring and motivating? Do you want to be part of a committed, dynamic team who are constantly improving their professional practice? CPD is at the core of our offer for our team and our children. The well-being of pupils and staff is at the heart of our day-to-day work.
Penryn primary Academy are looking to employ a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to work in our ARB, supporting, leading and planning provision. The role is for 30 hours per week, term time plus two INSET days on a fixed term basis until 31st August 2026.
What the school offers its staff
Our ARB supports pupils from 4 to 11 years old who have a range of needs and diagnoses. Our pupils all have EHCPs, are cognitively working significantly below their typically developing peers and require support to access curriculum tasks. Staff support pupils with communication, social and emotional development and sensory and/or physical needs.
Pupils require support throughout the school day through a mixture of whole class, group and one to one activities. Our ARB classes work closely with other classes across the school to ensure pupils receive a broad, balanced and well-rounded curriculum throughout their time at Penryn Primary. We pride ourselves in providing pupils with a high-quality inclusive education which celebrates pupil achievements and challenges them to be best versions of themselves.
Commitment to safeguarding
Aspire Academy Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All appointments will be subject to satisfactory enhanced DBS and vetting checks.
