Marketing Coordinator
Remote - UK
£30,000 FTE - Part Time or Term Time only contract
SalamanderSoft are looking for a Marketing Coordinator who has a real flair and passion for providing and developing effective marketing strategies to attract new customer and to nurture existing customers.
This role is fully remote with the expectation to support key EdTech events.

Job Purpose
As a Marketing Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in expanding our market presence within the education sector. You will be responsible for developing and executing effective marketing strategies that not only attract new customers but also nurture existing relationships. This includes crafting compelling marketing campaigns, developing high-quality content and building strong relationships with schools, educational organisations, and key partners. You will promote the value of SalamanderSoft solutions through engaging presentations, product demonstrations, and event organisation. Your ability to understand market dynamics and effectively position our products will be essential. Ideally, you will have experience in organising successful events and managing social media within the education sector. This role requires marketing creativity, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for driving positive change in education.
Success in this role will be demonstrated by the consistent generation of qualified leads through impactful digital marketing campaigns, successful event execution, and the creation of engaging content that expands SalamanderSoft's market presence and contributes directly to new customer acquisitions within the education sector.
Duties and Responsibilities
Product Promotion: Contribute to and implement the company’s strategy and marketing plan to drive opportunities that lead to new customer acquisitions. Develop and implement marketing initiatives to promote SalamanderSoft's solutions to target audiences.
Digital Marketing and Content Strategy: Manage and enhance our online presence through website updates, social media engagement, and email marketing campaigns. This includes the creation of engaging marketing materials like presentations, brochures, website content, blog posts, and social media content. Analyse digital marketing campaign performance, providing data-driven insights and recommendations for optimization, collaborating with external partners as needed
Event Coordination: Plan and execute successful events, such as webinars, conferences, and product demonstrations, to generate leads and build brand awareness. Take ownership of organising and executing events that engage the education community and expand our brand presence.
Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands to refine marketing strategies. Collaborate with the product team to align marketing efforts with business goals and product launches.
Collaboration: Work closely with the product and development team to provide feedback and contribute to product enhancements.
Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with internal teams, customers, and partners.
Reporting: Track and report on marketing performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications and Experience
Proven track record: 2+ years of experience in a marketing role within the education technology sector.
Sales acumen: Demonstrated ability to achieve targets and build strong customer relationships.
Marketing expertise: Experience developing and executing marketing campaigns across various channels.
Excellent communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create compelling marketing materials.
Industry knowledge: Understanding of the education sector and the challenges faced by educational institutions.
Technical proficiency: Familiarity with CRM systems and digital marketing tools.
Team player: Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
Passion for education: A genuine interest in contributing to the advancement of education through technology.
Corporate Responsibility
Assist the Managing Director and department Heads in ensuring that all the above are undertaken whilst also ensuring that all activities within the service comply with all company policies including Password Policy, Cyber Security Policy, Data Processing Agreement and the company’s Terms and Conditions.
