Summary
We are seeking 2 teaching assistants to join our team. Post 1
30 hours 25 minutes per week.
This is a term time position.
Fixed Term for 1 year with the potential to extend.
Hours of work: 8:35am-3:10pm Monday – Friday some flexibility may be available and can be discussed at interview.
Salary Grade 15, £12.4538 - pro rata.

26 hours 5 minutes per week.

Selwood Academy is seeking to appoint highly skilled, innovative and dynamic Teaching Assistants to support the school in its drive to enhance its support for young people in the recovery of their learning.
“Selwood is a good school. Pupils at the school are extremely polite and accommodating…. Pupils are enthusiastic in their learning …. There is a real sense of fun at the school …… The range of opportunities provided by the school enhances the quality of pupils’ education” (Ofsted June 2017) and in 2019 the Academy received a section 48 SIAMS inspection in which it was judged as “Excellent.”
The successful candidates would be required to support interventions with individuals and small groups of pupils in Years 5 - 8, working alongside colleagues to design, deliver and assess the outcomes of intervention work. You will also support pupils within their classrooms.

• At least 1 years’ experience in the classroom
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management
• A commitment to supporting learning programmes for individuals and groups of pupils
• Supports the school’s vision and values
• Displays a clear vision and passion in their role and can motivate those around them.
• Demonstrates excellent interpersonal, organisation and communication skills.
