Summary

Carbon60 is looking for a Aircraft Electrical Fitter to join a client of ours based on the RAF Valley site.

As an Aircraft Electrical Fitter, you will be responsible for assisting in the movement, Line and Base Maintenance of the UK MFTS (RW) H135/H145 helicopter fleet. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing engineering operational support to Flight Operations
  • Accomplishing Maintenance inspections and repairs as directed
  • Working to high standards to ensure continued safe operation of the aircraft
  • Completing maintenance, including avionic and electrical systems
  • Conducting off-aircraft technical work in workshops as required
  • Assisting in the day-to-day running of the aircraft Hangar, including aircraft movement and general housekeeping

Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this Aircraft Electrical Fitter role, you will need:

  • Thorough knowledge of electrical and avionic systems
  • Knowledge of specialised test equipment relating to electrical and avionic systems
  • Up-to-date knowledge of Flight/Airport Operations, Aircraft Line Maintenance, and Aircraft Base Maintenance
  • An Apprenticeship in Aircraft Maintenance or a related discipline

Desirable qualifications and experience include:

  • Knowledge of UK Military Aviation and UK MFTS
  • Knowledge of EASA Part 145 and Part M regulations
  • Experience on the H135 helicopter
