We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Year 5 Teacher to join a supportive and forward-thinking Key Stage 2 team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to make a real impact during a vital stage in pupils’ academic and personal development. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as a Year 5 Teacher:
Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons in line with the Year 5 curriculum.
Create a positive, inclusive learning environment that fosters high expectations and achievement.
Assess, monitor and report on pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet individual needs.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and families to promote pupil wellbeing and success.
Support pupils in developing key skills in literacy, numeracy, and wider subject areas.
Maintain excellent standards of behaviour, encouraging responsibility and respect.
Contribute to the wider school life, including trips, assemblies and enrichment activities.
Ideal Year 5 Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally in Year 5.
Strong understanding of the upper KS2 curriculum and assessment expectations.
Excellent classroom management, organisation, and communication skills as a Year 5 Teacher.
A reflective and proactive approach to teaching and professional development.
A commitment to creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment.
A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare.
