Here at Serco, we are seeking a Buyer to join our Soft FM (Facilities Management) Procurement team. You'll play a key role in delivering value across Serco’s Soft FM procurement portfolio.
As part of this you’ll:
- Lead and manage tactical procurement projects (up to £250k), ensuring compliance with sourcing processes and governance.
- Support Category Managers on larger procurement projects, contributing to sourcing strategy and contract execution.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across our business units to capture requirements and develop effective RFx (Request for Proposal) documentation.
- Conduct market research, source new suppliers, and manage supplier engagement from RFx through to contract award.
- Negotiate pricing and terms using Serco’s Legal Empowerment Toolkit, and support drafting and signing of contracts.
- Optimise supplier performance, drive value for money, and support delivery of measurable procurement benefits.
What you’ll need to do the role:
- At least 2 years' experience in a sourcing or procurement role, ideally within facilities management or a related field.
- Solid understanding of sourcing processes, supplier negotiations, and contract lifecycle management.
- Experience using eSourcing tools and Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint); Power BI experience is a plus.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A proactive, collaborative approach with great attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
